Police in NJ Hunt Suspected Child Porn Perverts

by KYW's Matt Leon

Camden County authorities were busy this week hunting down suspected peddlers and downloaders of child pornography.

Prosecutor Warren Faulk says those picked up this week range in age from 14 to 68, and that warrants were served in 14 counties throughout the state, including 37 municipalities.

"This investigation and resulting arrests should also serve as a warning to those who will continue to victimize children by downloading and sharing child pornography. They now know that the state and local law enforcement have the technology to track this type of criminal activity."

Faulk says six of these suspects face the charge of endangering the welfare of a child by distributing child pornography, a crime which carries a maximum of 10 years in prison.
