Authorities in Lower Providence (Montgomery County), Pa. are looking for a "person of interest" whom they say followed a woman home from a Walmart store on Monday afternoon and then assaulted her.
The 19-year-old woman told police she was shopping at the store in West Norriton when she noticed a man following her around the store.
Montgomery County district attorney Risa Ferman says the woman told police that when she left the store, she noticed that a white man driving a silver car had followed her to home in the Audubon section of the township:
"She observed the car drive by her house. She went inside her house, and a short time later the man that she had seen inside of the store was actually inside of her home.”
She told police the man assaulted her in her bedroom and then fled.
Police say surveillance tape taken from the store (above) shows a man that fits the description given to them by the victim. The suspect is described as a white male, 30-35 years old, with very short brown hair. The car has been identified on surveillance video as a Honda Accord.
