An urban farm in the Kensington section of Philadelphia will get some attention during a food extravaganza Saturday at the Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne, Bucks County.
Greensgrow Farms has been around for a decade, selling right off the farm produce to some of Philadelphia’s finest restaurants.
Farm founder Mary Seton Corboy will be a part of the "Super Chefs Live" event at the mall, sharing tips on using farm fresh produce and herbs in our everyday lives:
"This is the first week for strawberries and asparagus here in this region, and it’s just the beginning of what’s going to be an incredible bounty. We want people to recognize the fact that Pennsylvania is still a farming state."
Greensgrow will join a list of top local chefs and TV chef Daisy Martinez for the free event that will feature cook-offs and demonstrations.
The event, which runs from 11:30 until 4:30, is part of a 25-mall tour across the country between now and mid-August.
