A construction worker was injured Friday morning after a vacant house in North Philadelphia started to collapse around him.
The worker was demolishing the two-story home in the 3500 block of North 5th Street. Just after 10:30am there was a partial collapse of the second floor where the 30-year-old workman had been doing work.
The worker was immediately taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The city's Department of Licenses and Inspections was called to the scene to conduct an investigation.
