The South Street Headhouse District’s S.O.S.-Summer Outdoor Screenings movie series dedicates a night to honor man’s best friend.
This free screening takes place tomorrow night at 8pm at the Historic Shambles on 2nd Street. Bring your best friends, both human and canine alike, for a screening of a family favorite film, Beethoven. about a loveable St. Bernard puppy.
The Philadelphia Greyhound Connection, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding loving homes for retired racing greyhounds will be by at 7pm with several loveable companions who need loving homes. And PAWS, the Pennsylvania Animal Welfare Society will also stop by with future best friends waiting to meet you.
The free movie screening takes place on Wednesday, August 12th at 2nd Street between Pine and Lombard Streets This night of the Summer Outdoor Screenings promises to be family (and canine!) friendly as well as educational as it brings awareness to the community about the humane treatment of dogs, how much they add to our lives, and the importance of dog adoption.
