It's 'Constituiton Week' at the National Constitution Center

by KYW’s Karin Phillips

It's Constitution Week in the city of Philadelphia, with a range of activities scheduled at the National Constitution Center.

September 17th celebrates the signing of the Constitution, one of the most influential and important events in American history. All this week, the National Constitution Center is celebrating with a number of events, all culminating on the actual anniversary on Saturday.

Linda Johnson is President and CEO of the National Constitution Center:

“The 17th, the actual anniversary, and this year's the 222nd anniversary, has some very sort of high profile events. We start the day with a reading of the Constitution, we call it America Reads the Constitution, and this year, we're focusing on having people involved in community service and public service read the Constitution.”
