Drexel Nursing Students Get Digital Textbooks

Hundreds of nursing students at Drexel University are trading their textbooks for iPods.

Gloria Donnelly (top right), dean of the Drexel University school of nursing, was there as hundreds of nursing and physical therapy students lined up on Monday at Drexel's college of medicine:

"We have over 300 students who are receiving for the first time their iPod Touch whicy will be downloaded with clinically oriented books -- a book on diseases, one on lab values, a medical dictionary."

Nursing student Tonae Simon (bottom right) thinks the iPod will help her with her bedside manner:

"You won't have to carry huge textbooks around. It helps you with a patient, bedside. It's easy to pull out."

Donnelly says iPods will allow for digital notetaking and will offer the latest medical information.
