John "Bootsie" Wilson -- the last original surviving member of the doo-wop rock group known as the Silhouettes, has died of cancer. He was 69.
Wilson, a Philadelphia native, eventually became lead singer of the group. The Silhouettes sold over a million copies of their 1958 hit, "Get a Job."
During his lifetime, Wilson made appearances with Ed Hurst on his TV show, "Summertime at the Steel Pier," and in the late '50s and early '60s often appeared at record hops hosted by the late Joe Niagara.
