The National Congress for Puerto Rican rights is holding its' national conference at Temple University this weekend.
Actors, politicians, community activists and more from the Hispanic community nationwide are meeting at Temple University this weekend for the Conference of the National Congress for Puerto Rican Rights.
Miguel Concepción is the Philadelphia registration director for the conference. He says the Congress began in the 1970's in Philadelphia when conflicts sparked between Hispanics, African American and Caucasians in Philadelphia. But this conference, while dealing with serious issues, will be...
"More of a celebration of our community in addressing issues such as the census that's going to be a major topic of discussion this year, being part of the process, being counted."
