The Philadelphia Fire Department says the blaze that destroyed the historic Eden Hall Chapel in Fairmount Park over the weekend was deliberately set.
The fire started just before midnight Saturday night and grew to three alarms before firefighters got control of it about two hours later (see related story).
It took a hundred firefighters to get all the flames out. No one was hurt.
The fire engulfed the roof, which is now in danger of collapsing.
