It’s that time of year to strut your stuff with your mutt, all benefiting a great cause.
The 3rd annual PAWS Mutt Strut takes place this weekend, on Saturday, October 31st. Lovable canines and their companion people will be walking the 1.5 mile scenic route through FDR Park located at 1900 Pattison Avenue, across from the sports complex in South Philly. Fortunately, throughout the area, there’s plenty of free parking. The walk begins at 11am, with registration at 10am. It all benefits PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society and their dedicated efforts to save Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned and unwanted animals.
Since it falls on Halloween this year, there will be a pet costume contest, and bobbing for what else? Bones! There’ll be plenty of family friendly activities. And if you’re looking to adopt, you’ll find dozens of loving PAWS dogs nearby waiting for their forever homes. So this would certainly be the place to meet your new best friend!
