Two men are in custody, charged with the murder earlier this month of a Woodlynne bakery owner, and a third suspect was being sought.
Oscar Medina Hernandez was found shot to death outside his Ferry Avenue business two weeks ago, the victim of an apparent robbery attempt (see previous story).
William Cooper, 31, of Camden, NJ, and Rashawn Carter, 24, of Philadelphia, were taken into custody at a Camden rowhouse on Thursday night without incident.
Both are charged with felony murder. They were arraigned before a judge in Camden on Friday afternoon and ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail each.
Cooper, Carter, and a third man are seen on store surveillance tapes, according to Camden County prosecutors, trying to open the store register and fleeing when they failed.
The third suspect is seen in that video wearing a dark, striped hoodie sweatshirt. There is a $1,000 reward for that individual’s arrest and conviction.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Camden County prosecutors at 856-225-8400 or detectives in Collingswood at 856-854-2401.
