The Virsky Ukrainian National Dance Company will make its debut at the Kimmel Center on Sunday, November 22nd.
Tom Warner, vice president of programming at the Kimmel Center, describes this performance:
“This company has not been to Philadelphia very often, and it’s been in existence for over 70 years. But theirs is a company of 85 dancers and musicians, mostly dancers. And to see 50 or 60 dancers on stage at Verizon Hall, with live musicians on stage playing their folk music, it’s a spectacle to see.”
