You want to improve your golf game? Find out if you have sleep apnea, and if you do, get therapy.
That's according to research at the Scientific Assembly in San Diego.
A study out of Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey found that golfers improved their golf game by up to three strokes. What they complied was sleep apnea therapy by wearing a C-pap, which is a continuous positive airway pressure mask while they slept.
Their area was kept open and they were able to breath more freely during sleep. They were able to think more clearly and react more effectively.
What's very interesting about the report is the better the golfers were, in other words, the lower their handicapped to begin with, the more they lost strokes.
One more thing: the researchers looked at this because they're trying to find ways to motivate people to wear the C-pap if necessary.
