Fighting for re-election in a very close race, New Jersey governor Jon Corzine was on the campaign trail early on Election Day, at Ponzio's Diner in Cherry Hill.
Corzine (above) says he's "very confident" that voters will do what's best for the Garden State:
"I'm excited. I just came from a great rally down the road -- it had almost two thousand people. So I think there's a lot of effective efforts to get out the vote."
The Democratic incumbent says he's still got much work to do before he settles down to watch the returns on Tuesday evening.
Republican challenger Chris Christie was concentrating his final day of campaigning in the northern part of the state. Polls indicate the two leading candidates are in a very close race for the New Jersey governor's office (see related story).
