Chris Christie spent his first day as New Jersey's governor-elect at a Newark charter school.
Christie (in file photo above) told the students at Robert Treat Academy that he wants their success to be duplicated across the state:
"You remember, and say to yourself, how special you are. You say that to yourself every day, and you work as hard as you can. Then special things will happen to you in your life, too."
Christie says the first thing he'll do as governor is to freeze new regulations and unfunded mandates for 90 days so his administration can review them.
