We're headed into the holiday movie season, yet one new movie happens to deal with the end of the world.
The movie '2012' (above) is not about gift-giving and mistletoe, but death and disaster.
However, director Roland Emmerich insists that despite the tone of the film and its contents, audiences still look forward to a story with a moral:
"First of all they should be entertained. For me, it's always the most important thing. If the world's coming to an end, you know, watch out! Live your life!"
Thandie Newton, who is featured in the film, says she makes no predictions about when the world will really come to an end:
"It could end tomorrow. It could end in a couple of days. You just don't know. I just want to focus on the here and now."
