Hundreds are expected to gather along the Cooper River in Pennsauken Saturday to raise money for lung cancer research.
This is the sixth year for the Heather Saler Walk for Lung Cancer Research and the second walk without Heather, who died of the disease a year and a half ago at 38.
Heather's husband Brad says people think only smokers get lung cancer.:
"Heather did not smoke at all, ever. And she was diagnosed at a young age. And younger women are becoming susceptible to this. And the researchers are trying to figure out why that is the case, of course. And they're not coming up with the best conclusions."
This year's walk aims to raise $100,000 for lung cancer research. Registration is 9am and the walk begins at 10am at Cooper River Park.
