Over 12,000 public health officials are in Philadelphia for their annual meeting and the H1N1 swine flu will be a priority discussion.
Those who work to improve public health in the United States, about 12,000 of them, will be in Philadelphia for the next week at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association.
Dr. Georges Benjamin is executive director of the Association. He says it is a huge meeting covering a variety of topics, but the swine flu is a priority:
“We're certainly going to get an update from the federal department of human services on H1N1. And hear from the people who are actually managing at the federal level and debating that at the local level.”
A special session on H1N1 is being held at the convention on Wednesday.
