A Veterans Day ceremony will take place on Wednesday at the Korean War Memorial at Penns Landing focusing on the mental health of soldiers once they come back home.
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder has been and is a problem among many Americans who served in military combat. Philadelphia Korean War Memorial president William J. Kelly says speakers at a Veterans Day ceremony want veterans to know they're not alone and help is available:
"We want to make sure that all veterans, regardless of what war they may have participated in, are going through the same thing that the others did and at least seek medical care and physiological care to deal with it."
The ceremony will take place 11am at the memorial at Second and Dock Streets. Invited guests include Sen. Arlen Specter, congressman Patrick Murphy and mayor Michael Nutter.
