I-Phone Now Has An Application for Swine Flu Info

by KYW medical editor Dr. Brian McDonough

Got swine flu? There's an app for that.

The HMS Mobile Swine Flu Center is a new I-Phone application and it has been developed by the Harvard Health Publications Division of Harvard Medical School.

What the HMS Mobile Swine Flu Center is designed to do is provide information to people about H1N1 including video guides on how people can protect themselves.

Interactive tools to help users determine if they may have caught H1N1, what the symptoms are, what to do, and also information on local hotlines.

It is a use of new technology that the Harvard experts believe could make a real difference in not only preventing spread but helping those who have come down with H1N1.
