Gas Leak Forces Evacuation of a Bensalem, Pa. School

by KYW's Ian Bush

A Bucks County school was evacuated on Wednesday due to a nearby gas leak.

This leak was reported just before 11am Wednesday morning in an abandoned roller skating rink (above) along the 2300 block of Bristol Pike in Bensalem, Pa.

Peco says crews were called in to locate and seal the leak.

Students at the School Lane Charter School, which is adjacent to the affected building, were evacuated to the nearby Holy Ghost Preparatory School.

The charter students were being dismissed early and transported home by bus.
