Phila. Man Faces Murder Charges in Death of His Infant Son

A Philadelphia man is charged with the beating death of his 11-month old son in the city's Strawberry Mansion section.

Police say 40-year-old Clavond Gallot allegedly called 9-1-1 around 6:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, saying he found his son, Joshua unconscious in his home on the 2200 block of Edgley Street.

Joshua was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Clavond Gallot is facing charges of murder and related offenses.
