Those shopping for their Thanksgiving food shopping are hitting area stores armed with lists, coupons and... spread sheets?
Many out food shopping for Thanksgiving feats say they're really not cutting back this year, just shopping a bit wiser. Just ask Ann Parone, she had a full cart of groceries at the Freshgrocer in Drexel Hill, Pa.
"We've been planning it and we also have lists from last year. We got statistics on how many people were there, how much turkey we had."
McDevitt: "Statistics?"
"We have a spread sheet. Yeah, man. You just can't fly on this stuff."
McDevitt: "So what do your statistics show?"
"The statistics show that last year we didn't have enough leftovers, so we have to buy a bigger turkey."
Many people are using coupons and ads to save money. Some are having guests bring side dishes to off set the costs of the feast.
