The Philadelphia Parking Authority is working with police trying to figure out who vandalized several parking kiosks in and around the old city neighborhood.
Over 20 kiosks had foam insulation sprayed into the money slots or the slots where the receipts come out, according to Parking Authority deputy executive director Linda Miller.
"The meters were located 600-through-800 Chestnut Street, 100-block of South 9th Street, as well as on areas on Dock Street in old city."
Miller says the vandalism was discovered early Friday morning and most of the affected kiosks were up and running by early afternoon. But she says any tickets resulting from a clogged kiosk would be recommend for cancellation.
She also says the vandalism is under investigation and if anyone saw anything suspicious they should contact police.
