A unique photography exhibit has opened in City Hall.
The Heart Gallery is a traveling photography exhibit, and photographer Terry Hirst says the subjects of the photos are foster children:
"The exhibit brings the kids into the light so that we can create awareness that there are so many Philadelphia kids that are in the foster care system."
Donna Wyche with the Department of Human Services says the display on the fifth floor of City Hall is another means of getting the word out about these children:
(Kuznits): "So this is more than just an exhibit where people go, 'Oh, those are pretty pictures.' "
(Wyche):"Absolutely -- this is more than that. This is a traveling, real live exhibit of real children that need permanent homes."
Nine of this year's models have already been adopted. The exhibit runs through the end of September.
