The Philadelphia police special victims unit on Monday was highlighting arrests in two more sex assaults, each more than a decade old.
The cases are linked only by general type -- a teenaged girl out alone at night approached and attacked by a lone male.
Last week, persistent investigation led police to a suspect in one case, 30-year-old Dwayne Atkins of North Franklin Street.
In the other case, a DNA match and help from the US Marshal Service found homeless fugitive Edward Lowe, 61, near 16th and Juniata in Nicetown.
Special Victims Unit captain John Darby (center of photo above) was flanked by detectives and crime lab techs for Monday's announcement:
"You see faces up here behind the extraordinary work as it relates to reports or incidents that didn't just occur yesterday, didn't occur last week, last month, or last year. These are cases that go back a dozen years."
The message, as with previous cold case arrests, is that police don't give up.
