Richard Forney makes some room in his busy work schedule to anchor and run the editor's desk part-time at KYW Newsradio.
In addition to being a KYW anchor and editor, Dick teaches journalism, mass communication, and broadcasting at Temple University's School of Communication and Theater, and also teaches at Drexel University.
From 2000-2006 Dick produced Fortune Magazine's Business Update that airs daily on the CBS Radio Network.
Before coming to KYW Newsradio in 2000, Dick was an on-the-air anchor, business correspondent, and producer for New Jersey Network News on New Jersey's Public Television Network including WNET Channel 13 in New York and WNJS Channel 23 in Camden-Philadelphia. Prior to NJN, Dick was supervising producer for CNN Business News in New York.
His extensive journalism career has also taken him to upstate New York; Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he was manager of Minnesota Public Radio's news and information network.
In the 1980s, Dick served in the administration of New Jersey governor Tom Kean, worked as a managing editor for Dow Jones & Co., and was an associate professor of telecommunications at Mercer County Community College in central New Jersey.
Dick's life and career encompass more than journalism, however. He did undergraduate and postgraduate studies in philosophy and theology in preparation for ordination to the Roman Catholic priesthood.
