Tom Maloney

Tom Maloney has been covering news and sports in the Delaware Valley for more than a quarter of a century -- and for more than half that time at KYW Newsradio 1060.

Maloney is a lifelong Philadelphian and an accomplished athlete.   He graduated from Father Judge High School in northeast Philadelphia, where he played basketball all four years.

He went on to McNeese State College in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he majored in physical education and minored in English and social science.

Maloney's broadcasting career has included stints at area radio stations in Vineland, Norristown, Jenkintown, Levittown, and Philadelphia.  He served as news achnor for WWDB-FM and WHAT-AM, and sports director for WPEN-AM.

More than just a broadcaster, Maloney has done extensive voiceover and modeling work -- even teaching courses at the John Casablancas modeling schools.  He has been an avid tennis player for many years.

Now, Tom lives in the far Northeast.  "My best girl," he says with a smile, "is an Irish setter named Amy."
