With the cooler weather comes thoughts of Halloween.
It may be the beginning of the October, but head cashier Joanne Gray of Adventure Costume Store along Columbus Avenue in Philadelphia says it's not too early to start thinking about Halloween costumes:
"Because if you don't get here by next week or so, you won't have the ultimate choices that you have right now."
(Kuznits:) "What are some of the best sellers?"
(Gray:) "Michael Meyers, Freddy Kreuger, pirates -- they're going into the sexy line now. The sexy butterflies and the sexy nurses."
(Kuznits:) "Are you looking for a costume?"
(Shopper:) "Inspiration for a costume."
(Kuznits:) "What do you want to be this year?"
(Shoppers:) "I'm going toward a mermaid but I'm not real sure."
"I'm looking for a fat guy costume. There's a guy from the neighborhood that I want to try to imitate."
"I'm a witch! I wear the witch -- or just the doctor's outfit with a chicken hat!"
And don't forget the candy!
"Last year I had a woman rifle through the bowl of candy to find the best stuff, and she complained that I didn't have anything good!"
(Kuznits:) "Well -- you know, trick or treat!"
"Well, she was late! So I think I ate all the good stuff!"
